Trafford Community Collective is seeking 2 passionate and motivated Community Health Engagement Officers to help strengthen the voice of local communities. This exciting role will support the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector in Trafford to ensure that people’s voices are heard and can influence decisions about local health services.
As Community Health Engagement Officer, you will:
- Support local groups to build capacity and grow their influence.
- Promote the impact and value of Trafford’s VCFSE sector.
- Connect communities, partners, and decision-makers through effective engagement.
- Gather and share community insights with particular focus on marginalised groups and communities to influence health and wellbeing priorities.
- Support Trafford public health campaigns e.g. winter warmth
- Support development and engagement of communities with Trafford Live Well programme
- Manage the distribution of small grants to grassroots organisations and ensure fair monitoring.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in community engagement and working with diverse groups.
- Is an excellent communicator and relationship-builder.
- Is passionate about equality, inclusion, and giving communities a stronger voice.
- Can work independently and collaboratively with local partners.
