Volunteer Engagement Officer

Teamwork is the key to success in hospice care and our 300+ volunteers are an integral part of what we do, providing essential support to paid staff in every area of our work.

We are now looking to recruit a passionate and dynamic individual to join our team in the new role of Volunteer Engagement Officer.

As Volunteer Engagement Officer, you will have day-to-day responsibility for community engagement, working with external organisations to develop partnerships to benefit the Hospice’s volunteering function. You will also work closely with our Volunteer Manager in relation to the recruitment and retention of our volunteer workforce.

We are looking for someone with:

  • proven experience in coordinating/supporting volunteers and building relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • proven organisational and time management skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
