About the job

We are looking to recruit a Digital Skills and Employment Coach who will be based at our Cornerstone Day Centre, a community centre for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. 

The Digital Skills and Employment Coach will establish and run a Get Work Ready job club and Digital Skills café. You will provide digital skills support to the people attending the sessions, supporting them to get online, access services, gain online work-based qualifications, create CV’s, help people look for work and complete application forms. You will also provide one to one coaching to people that join the volunteering programme, creating Personal Action Plans to Get Work Ready and support them into employment. 

You will be target driven and have excellent customer service skills, with the ability to coach and motivate people to identify and work towards achieving their own personal goals. You will also have good IT skills and be able to support people to learn digital skills. 

Knowledge and experience of how to support people into education, training and / or employment and communicating positively with people from different walks of life is essential. 

The hours of the role are 11 per week, these are flexible but would need to be worked within our core hours of 9am until 3pm. Monday to Friday.
