We are excited to announce that the Pride in Place Neighbourhood Boards have been appointed for Brookhouse and Peel Green and Pendleton.
We now have full Boards that truly reflect the diversity and spirit of Salford.

This group brings together another collection of passionate local people who are committed to making a positive difference in Pendleton. Their insights, experiences, and enthusiasm will be invaluable in ensuring the voices of our community are at the heart of everything we do.”
Meet the Pendleton Neighbourhood Board

"I am happy to have been involved in constituting a Board of diverse members, and I am delighted with the team we have assembled. It is my intention to harness that diversity — the range of skills, experiences and perspectives each member brings — to deliver broad and impactful change across the community we serve. A Board is at its strongest when it reflects the community it works for and draws on genuinely different viewpoints. In bringing these members together, we have built one grounded in that principle: inclusive in its make-up, purposeful in its work, and united by a shared commitment to the people we exist to serve.
Our priorities are straightforward. First, to draw fully on the complementary strengths around our table. Second, to establish sound, transparent governance that earns and keeps the trust placed in us. And third, to keep our focus firmly on impact — on the real, lasting change we can help bring about in the community. There is much to do, and I am honoured to lead this Board. Meet the Brookhouse and Peel Green Neighbourhood Board
The Neighbourhood Boards will oversee the Pride in Place Programme across each area over a 10-year period and £20 million investment in each community by the current Government.
They will play a vital role in shaping decisions that matter to local people, giving residents a real voice in how investment and activity is directed in their neighbourhoods. With community representation at its heart, the Boards will help ensure that the people who know the areas best are front and centre of decision making. Each Board will give local people the power to decide how funding is spent, putting communities in charge of the future of their area.
