Emergency response

We’re working with VCSE and public sector partners to coordinate our emergency response volunteering programme for Salford and supporting local people to be good neighbours.

Find out more about this here.

Watch our video on how local charities, volunteers, community groups and social enterprises, alongside businesses and public sector partners have come together to support our communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

For current grant applicants

We are still processing existing grant applications and any returns.

If you have received a grant off us recently and are worried about how you can deliver, don’t worry, we have now emailed you in to ask you whether you want to postpone delivery for up to 3-months OR make changes to deliver on your project outcomes in a different way, possibly remotely.

If you haven't received an email or phone call from us contact grants@salfordcvs.co.uk.

Salford Crisis Fund (COVID-19)

The Salford Crisis Fund was a responsive fund offering VCSE organisations grants of up to £500 to help address immediate need arising from the coronavirus crisis.

This fund has now closed, you can see the list of awards made here.

You can search for Covid-19 related emergency funding via our online search here.

The commitment of voluntary sector funders in Salford

Salford City Council, NHS Salford Clinical Commissioning Group, and Salford CVS want to support our communities as much as we can during this unprecedented period.

As funders, grant givers and organisations that contract with the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector, we’re committed to the Salford VCSE Strategy and working collaboratively with you as partners. We are therefore committing to supporting you as voluntary and community sector groups, charities and social enterprises (including our foodbanks and food clubs) that are currently in receipt of grant funding or have contracts in place from our organisations to use your skills, resources, relationships and networks to best meet the needs of the people that access your services and support.

#SalfordStories - good news, good ideas

While we are being told to stay at home, many of our brilliant charities, social enterprises and community groups are continuing the support people in Salford. They have adapted to the current crisis situation and are making sure that the activities relied upon by lots of local people continue online and virtually.

There are lots going on that you can get involved in. Take a look at our #SalfordStories timetable to children and young people.

Please tell us what your group is doing using #SalfordStories so we can celebrate your work!

Events, training and forums

We have postponed our annual conference, due to be held in July, it will now take place in October and will still be held at the AJ Bell Stadium.

Our training sessions and forums for April and May have been postponed and will be rescheduled or delivered virtually where possible. If you are concerned about attending future sessions or unable to access virtual training you can cancel your place free of charge.

We are delivering adapted training sessions via Zoom, including safeguarding training. You can book a place via our website here.

If you have any queries please contact training@salfordcvs.co.uk

We would encourage you all to stay safe - and keep in touch where you can.
