Description:

We have opportunities for warehouse volunteers, Monday - Saturday, to carry out quality control and sort and prepare food orders at the FareShare warehouse, in line with food safety legislation. You will have the rewarding experience of really making a change within the community. You’ll develop important job skills and qualifications, not only relevant to the food industry but also valued by related industries. We welcome volunteers who can commit to at least four hours per week. We start at 8:30am, however, we can be flexible with the times of volunteer shifts if necessary.
You can expect to get involved in the following tasks:
• Assisting van drivers with loading and unloading of goods received at the FareShare warehouse
• Assisting in the safe assessing, sorting, storing and movement of stock, in line with food safety legislation
• Loading goods for dispatch
• Keeping records of stock and paperwork up to date
• Placing received stock in appropriate stock locations
• Keeping the warehouse neat and tidy

• Reliability and ability to commit to pre-agreed volunteer shifts
