Opportunity hosted by: Salford Being There
Description:

RING, RING, RING, RING!…..If you like listening and engaging in conversations about all sorts of things over the telephone, then this role may be for you! As a Being There Telephone Befriender you will be required to phone a client each week. This service helps clients to feel supported and less isolated. Not everyone is fortunate to have family and friends, so your call will make a huge difference!

Having other time commitments, not having access to transport or having mobility issues can sometimes make volunteering difficult to do, but not with us! Once you have completed our 2hr training programme and completed all your DBS checks, you can choose the days and times that suit you, as long as it’s between Monday-Fridays, 9am-4pm. Many of our volunteers chat to their clients for around 15mins to one hour each week.

Volunteers will be reimbursed for any out of pocket expenses.
