Volunteer Opportunities

Salford CVS are working with Local Family Hubs to develop a network of Family Hub Champions to volunteer their time in the Family Hubs, with both Early Help services and local community, voluntary and social enterprise groups. Family Hub Champions are volunteers who feel passionately about improving services for children, young people and families in Salford, and will work together, share ideas and support local families with their experiences of parenting and being parented. There are a variety of roles available for Family Hub Champions, and we are flexible about the amount of time you commit to this role.
As a Family Hub Champion you could be doing different and varied roles. Family Hub Champions roles may include the following:
• Baby Social/ Stay and Play volunteer
• Reception / Welcome Volunteer
• Chat, Play and Read Volunteer
There will also be opportunities to research what’s currently available in Salford for children, young people and families, and co-design new volunteer opportunities at the hubs that you think the local community would benefit from.
You will be given a role description for any role you sign up to as a Family Hub Champion.
