Description:

Do you want to make a difference to the life of adults in your community? Help us provide support that will enable adults to live a full life and engage in the daily activities we all take for granted. Struggling to read affects a person's confidence and the role they play in society and their families.

We are seeking a range of volunteers to work on our Management Team (Committee) to oversee the delivery of our service, which is to offer free, one-to-one and confidential reading support to adults who struggle to read.

We are seeking people to lead the team, work to recruit future volunteers, raise awareness of the support we offer, raise funds, publicise our group and support the Reading Coaches and the adults they are teaching to read. There is a range of roles - something to suit everyone.

Being unable to read as an adult impacts every part of an adult's daily life, and in the age where so much of what we need to do is online, this has exacerbated the problem. We have successfully enabled many adults to overcome the problems they face by teaching them to learn to read. Our support is proven to work. WE ARE DELIGHTED TO HAVE NOW EXPANDED OUR SUPPORT TO SALFORD.
