Volunteer Opportunities

The 82nd Salford Scout Group is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated volunteer Section Team Leaders to help run our weekly meetings. You'll be part of a team that creates a safe, fun, and engaging program for young people, helping them learn skills for life.

What you'll be doing:
As a Section Team Leader, you'll work with other volunteers to plan and deliver a varied program of activities. This might include:

Leading activities like games, crafts, and team challenges.
Helping young people work towards their badges and achieve their awards.
Organising and supervising outdoor activities such as hikes and camping trips.
Mentoring young people and helping them develop their confidence and leadership skills.
Ensuring the safety and well-being of all Scouts during meetings and events.

What we're looking for:
You don't need to be an expert camper or have any previous experience in Scouting. We provide all the training and support you need. The most important qualities are:

A positive attitude and a good sense of humour.
Patience and a genuine interest in helping young people.
Reliability and a willingness to commit to weekly meetings.
