Description:

START are looking for friendly volunteers who enjoy chatting to people both face to face and over the phone to volunteer in our reception area.
START’s mission is to promote emotional well-being and recovery by providing creative arts-based activities and training opportunities for people who are, or may be at risk of experiencing mental health difficulties or social exclusion.

Tasks:
• To welcome members and visitors who attend/visit the project and notify the person they have come to see that they have arrived
• To answer incoming calls
• To assist staff with administrative tasks when required, ie. photocopying
• To assist with incoming and outgoing mail
• To relay messages to tutors from clients unable to attend group sessions
• To assist with the stock control in respect to the stationary cupboard
• To notify members of staff that deliveries have arrived
• To maintain general good housekeeping of the reception area
