Description:

As a Social Media & Content Volunteer, you’ll help us grow the Greater Manchester Victim Services Instagram presence by creating engaging, accessible, and educational content for victims and the wider public. You will support with capturing photos and short videos at events and workshops, helping us showcase our community work and highlight key messages around safety, support, and awareness.

You’ll also assist with producing simple graphics, reels, and posts that explain our service offer, promote upcoming activities, and increase our reach across Greater Manchester. This role is ideal for someone creative, organised, and passionate about making a positive impact. You’ll work closely with our team, gain hands-on experience in digital communication, and help us ensure our message reaches the people who need it most.

Basic understanding of Instagram (reels, stories, posts, tagging, trends)

Confident taking photos and short videos at events

Ability to write clear, accessible captions and simple educational messages

Good organisational skills and attention to detail

Comfortable speaking with the public when capturing content

Ability to handle sensitive topics with empathy and professionalism

Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently

Interest in community work, safeguarding, or victim support

Willingness to learn and follow our branding and content guideline
