Description:

We are looking for friendly and reliable volunteer to join our van team! We deliver food parcels from our warehouse to our distribution centres across Salford, from Little Hulton to Chapel Street. Food parcels are packed in our warehouse and then delivered by our volunteers to our seven distribution centres, making possible that the help and support reaches people in need. Come and join our lovely and supportive team of volunteers and make a real difference in your local community!

Role Description:
You will never be on your own: you will be joined by a van driver and another van assistant, all volunteers!
Collect pre-packed food parcels from our warehouse.
Deliver food parcels to our distribution centres across Salford.
Load and unload food parcels safely.
Represent the foodbank in a friendly and professional way.

Physically able to lift and carry food parcels (this role is unfortunately not suitable for people with limited mobility).
Reliable, punctual, and well organised.
Friendly, approachable, and able to work as part of a team.
