Opportunity hosted by: Salford Youth Zone
Description:

As a volunteer at Salford Youth Zone, you’ll play a hands‑on role in creating a safe, inspiring, and inclusive space for local young people aged 8–19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs. Every session, you’ll support young people to enjoy state‑of‑the‑art facilities by getting involved in activities that match your skills and passions. This could mean helping out in the kitchen, supporting cooking and life‑skills sessions, joining in with sports like football or boxing, or assisting creative activities such as music, arts, or media.

Volunteers also provide valuable one‑to‑one support by listening, chatting, and building positive relationships with young people, helping them grow in confidence and develop new skills. Whether you’re encouraging someone to try a new activity, celebrating their achievements, or simply offering a friendly presence, you’ll make a real impact every session.

You’ll be part of a welcoming, supportive team where your time, enthusiasm, and unique experience are genuinely valued. At Salford Youth Zone, volunteers are essential—and your contribution helps shape a brighter future for young people in the community.
