Volunteer Opportunities
As an Education Volunteer, you will inspire children and young people by visiting primary schools to deliver assemblies and interactive classroom sessions. Using CAFOD-provided resources, you will help schools explore global justice issues and encourage them to take action for a fairer world.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, communicating confidently, and supporting schools to engage with social justice and global learning.
What you will be doing
Visiting schools to deliver assemblies and interactive classroom sessions.
Building positive relationships with an agreed number of schools.
Encouraging schools to book further visits and to act with CAFOD for a fairer world.
Preparing for school visits using CAFOD resources, including PowerPoint presentations, posters, and activity ideas.
Taking part in quarterly team meetings and training sessions, both in person and online.
Completing a short feedback form after each visit to keep the local CAFOD team informed of your work with schools.

An ability to communicate well with children and young people in large assembly settings and smaller class groups.
• An ability to use technology to deliver presentations (digital projector, laptop, PowerPoint) or be willing to learn.
• Be comfortable using email to communicate and accessing a website to find materials and information.
