Migrant Haven is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for young volunteers. We have adapted volunteering opportunities to ensure they are suitable, meaningful, and age-appropriate for under 18s.

Young volunteers will be given clear guidance, supervision, and ongoing support throughout their volunteering experience. Tasks will be tailored to their age, skills, interests, and level of experience, with a focus on learning, confidence-building, teamwork, and personal development.

Where appropriate, volunteers under 18 will not be placed in roles involving sensitive casework or unsupervised contact with vulnerable individuals.
