Volunteer Opportunities
Join the staff at Ordsall Hall, a Grade I listed Tudor home turned free entry museum, to assist in running 1926 Knees Up: Community Event.
The event is commemorating the Salford Centenary as well as the opening of our new Community Barn. It will be suitable for all ages and free to attend, so we are hoping for a large audience onsite throughout the day. There will be a range of activities on offer including: a live jazz band, crafts, drinks, themed cakes and vintage lawn games.
We are looking for three volunteers who can help us by welcoming visitors and supporting with the various activities throughout the ground.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a historic celebration!
Additional details about the role:
• Successful applicants will be given a Health and Safety induction at Ordsall Hall prior to the event on August 23rd. Date to be determined (dependent on availability).
• Day of the event volunteers will join a staff briefing in the morning, where full details of the event will be shared and the wider team introduced.
• Travel expenses can be reimbursed for public transport (bus, tram or train). We unfortunately cannot reimburse transport via personal car or taxi.
• Access to facilities, water and light refreshments will be provided on the day of the event.
