Hopeful Horizons Community Volunteer

Description:

Help us make Hopeful Horizons a warm, welcoming place each Monday. We’re looking for volunteers who enjoy practical tasks and helping people feel at ease.

You could help us:

Set up the room and move tables and chairs.
Welcome people and offer tea or coffee.
Help prepare and serve the community meal.
Tidy and clean the space afterwards.

You don’t need previous experience. We’ll show you what to do, and you’ll work alongside the Jak’s World team.

Skills and qualifications that may be needed or developed:

No formal qualifications are required. We’re looking for someone who is reliable, flexible and comfortable working alongside others in a busy community setting. You should be happy to help with practical tasks, welcome people warmly and treat everyone with respect.

Experience in a community project, café, hospitality or food service would be helpful, but it isn’t essential. We’ll provide an induction and support. As this is a weekly Monday project, we’re especially keen to hear from people who can make a regular commitment and let us know in advance if they cannot attend.
