We need volunteers

Advertising your opportunities

If you need to recruit volunteers, you can advertise your opportunities and track and manage your volunteer applications online via our Volunteering Portal.

If you are new to the Portal please create your online account here.

You will be asked to create a Volunteer Manager account, complete your organisation's profile and then you will be able to add your opportunities to the Portal.

If you have already set up your online account, log in here.

We can also promote via our social media platforms Twitter and Facebook - tag us in your posts and we will be sure to share or retweet.

Good practice support

We can also offer advice and information on good practice when working with and selecting volunteers.

Visit our good practice page to find out more and download a copy of our good practice guidelines.

Volunteer recognition

If you're looking for a way to give back to your volunteers, we're also able to support you.

Visit our volunteer recognition page for ideas and resources on how you can reward your volunteers.

What are the benefits of involving volunteers in your organisation?

  • Volunteers provide a diverse pool of experience
  • Volunteers help an organisation to achieve its aims and achieve a level of service that could not otherwise be provided
  • Volunteers give organisations a wider range of skills to utilise
  • Having volunteers can make an organisation more welcoming for service users and more reflective of your local community
