New Chairs appointed for the Neighbourhood Boards

Following a thorough recruitment process, including interviews by an independent panel, Pride in Place Neighbourhood Boards have appointed Jenni Smith as Chair for Pendleton and Jon Odukoya as Chair for Brookhouse and Peel Green Neighbourhood Board alongside Andy Higgins as the Vice-Chair.
The Neighbourhood Boards will play a vital role in shaping decisions that matter to local people, giving residents a real voice in how investment and activity is directed in their neighbourhoods. With community representation at its heart, the Boards will help ensure that the people who know the areas best are front and centre of decision making.
Each Board will give local people the power to decide how funding is spent, putting communities in charge of the future of their area. The Neighbourhood Boards are led by an Independent Chair and Vice Chair, appointed and approved by the local MP and local authority.
