What do we do?
Salford CVS is the leading infrastructure organisation working across the city with all shapes and sizes of Community, Voluntary and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations.
Development support
A core part of our work is providing specialist and bespoke information, advice and guidance to organisations using fresh, flexible and bespoke tools and packages. In the VCSE landscape there are a diverse range of organisations doing fantastic work with communities and people all making a difference. We are here to help and support this by listening to the needs and priorities of our members and identify creative and practical solutions to collectively make a difference to people and communities in Salford.
We work with principles and best practice approaches using frameworks from the Charity Commission, Code of good governance and fundraising. Our development support charter outlines our values and commitments to providing high-quality development support to organisations. Find out more about our development support.

Membership
Salford CVS is a membership organisation that endeavours to speak up for and act in the interests of its members in all of its work – promoting the interests of local community groups, voluntary organisations, and social enterprises in Salford.
One of Salford CVS’ roles is to advocate for funding and resources for the sector, something we have successfully achieved recently for example via our support for Salford Third Sector Consortium in securing contracts and also in our negotiations with NHS Salford CCG in securing a significant sum of money to distribute to the VCSE sector via a small grants programme.
