VOCAL Inclusive Communities Forum : Working Together to tackle economic, social and political inequalities faced by Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities
All Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) communities, and BAME-led organisations, are an integral part of the fabric that makes up the City of Salford.
Many BAME communities face injustice and are not given a fair chance to do well. There is a huge challenge to change the economic, social and political inequalities. We recognise these problems are caused by all of us and must be resolved by all of us, working together.
We are at a juncture where we can improve things - or allow them to get worse.
The forum will give you the opportunity to share your views on this issue and will cover the following topics
- Charities So White Position Paper– Racial Injustice in the Covid19 Response
- Home Truths: undoing racism and delivering real diversity in the charity sector report
- Greater Manchester VCSE Leadership Group – BAME Position Statement and Pledges
- Practical Actions for the VCSE sector in Salford to address economic, social and political inequalities in our City faced by BAME communities
