Round 2 of the Cancer & Inequalities fund is offering grants of up to £5,000 for Greater Manchester-based VCSE organisations who would like to deliver projects that will help play a part in boosting early cancer diagnosis rates in Greater Manchester.
The fund is keen to see organisations who applied for round 1 develop their projects however new groups to the fund are also eligible and welcome to apply.
The fund is looking to support GM based organisations who will deliver projects which will support improvements in early cancer diagnosis amongst groups of people who are at a higher risk of later stage detection and diagnosis. The groups identified are below. The main difference between round 1 and 2 is there is a bigger push for projects to work with or include the health care system in their projects.
- People from lower socio-economic groups
- People with learning difficulties
- People with sensory and or/physical disabilities
- People with mental ill-health & illness
- Racially marginalised communities
- LGBTQ+ community
- Older people
- Men
