Postural Stability and Step Up Volunteers required

Salford Community Leisure are looking for volunteers to support the Postural Stability and Step Up exercise classes.

Postural Stability seated exercise classes help older people regain balance and confidence after they have suffered a fall. Step Up exercise classes help older people retain independence and activity. The classes are supervised by Salford Community Leisure staff. Volunteers are required to meet and greet attendees and to support them during the class. Volunteers will also become Wellbeing Champions which involves talking to older people about their wellbeing and helping them to understand and complete My Wellbeing Plan. The role requires good communication skills. Classes are held in Swinton, Walkden, Eccles and Lower Kersal. Volunteers will receive training, support, and expenses.

If you are interested in helping to improve the lives of older people in Salford, please contact Jessica or Michael on 0161 787 7795 or salfordtogether@salfordcvs.co.uk
